WHAT IS DEMOKRATIAN?

DEMOKRATIAN , comes from the Esperanto word for "democracy".

The idea of demoKratian is to generate tools to help online participation. Initially it started as a small voting tool that has grown into a multi-purpose voting platform that is being widely used.

We create our projects under the GNU Affero General Public License which guarantees end users the freedom to use, study, share and modify the software. Although DEMOKRATIAN has no cost and is free, it is welcome if you can make a donation for the maintenance of the project

Our goal is to make it very easy to use and install, so that any user can use it. It can also be done from multiple devices

It works on most existing web servers, you only need to have Apache, PHP and a MySQL database.

DEMOKRATIAN VOTING PLATFORM

DEMOKRATIAN "voting platform" is a web application that allows different types of online voting. It is a tool that allows different social groups and political parties to carry out consultations among their associates and/or supporters in a simple way.
With DEMOKRATIAN you can, in addition to making votes through the Internet, make simultaneous votes in "ballot box" (in person) as it allows you to see in real time if a user has voted online and prevent the vote to those who do it in person.

LAMP

It is written in the PHP programming language and uses a MySQL database so it can be installed and used on most web servers.

SECRET VOTE

Non-traceability of the vote, your vote is secret and nobody can know that you have voted (with the exception of the debate type of vote, where you can change the direction of your vote).

4 TYPES OF VOTING

You can create "weighted voting" (Borda or Dowdall count), STV (Single Transferable Vote) polls or debates.

VOTING SECURITY

Option to activate a system of control-verification of the vote by means of a secure password. Option to enable voting officers to send an anonymous mail with each vote to the designated voting officers, generating a copy of the vote "on paper".

What it is used for

DEMOKRATIAN , a platform to implement a horizontal form of decision-making in your organisation.
The platform is census-oriented, i.e. no one who is not registered can vote and 4 types of voting are possible. The administrator can choose between opening a debate, a poll, a weighted vote, or a vote with a VUT count.
It is also specially designed to be very easy to use, both by the end user, the voter, and by the different levels of administrators. This way, you only have to worry about asking questions or adding your candidates for your votes.
