Public integrity verification

Shall we check that this result is genuine?

Enter the verification code printed next to the QR code on the results record.

Upper or lower case and dashes do not matter.

We will redirect you to the verification page of the website that issued the record. There you will be able to upload the PDF in your possession to check that it matches exactly the document sealed by the platform.

How to verify it, in three steps

  1. Enter the record code. It appears next to the QR code on the results PDF and has the format DK-XXXX-XXXX.
  2. We will take you to the vote verification page, where you can upload the PDF you have and check that it matches the sealed document exactly.
  3. If you want to go further, the public list of votes and the algorithm allow you to redo the calculation yourself.

Checking is not the same as guaranteeing everything: there is no way to know whether the electoral roll was correct or to detect a vote that was never recorded. We explain this, with no small print, on the security page.

Frequently asked questions

What is the verification code?

It is a short identifier included on each results record, next to the QR code. It allows you to locate the vote that issued it and takes you to its verification page.

What exactly am I checking?

That the PDF you have is identical to the document the platform sealed when the vote was closed and, if you want to go further, that the count of the published ballots once again gives the same result.

What can it not verify?

Whether the people on the electoral roll had the right to vote, nor can it detect a ballot that was never recorded. That part is up to the organisation.
