A typical case: the annual general meeting
- Upload the members’ electoral roll: one by one or, on paid plans, by importing a CSV or Excel file.
- Open two Votes in the same call: approval of the accounts and renewal of the board.
- Each member logs in with their personal access and votes during the window. The ballot is secret.
- When it closes you publish the result with its minutes, which anyone can verify.
What people usually ask before getting started.
Do we need to amend the articles?
It depends on what yours say. It is advisable for them to refer explicitly to remote voting; check this with whoever advises the association. Demokratian provides the technical tool; your rules determine whether the process is valid.
What if a member is not comfortable with the internet?
Voting is just opening a link and marking the ballot, on a phone or computer. If someone still prefers to vote in person, you can set up an in‑person polling station with a ballot box, and those votes go into the same tally count.
How much does it cost?
